I have used compass on ac installs for two different houses. Great company. Very easy to work with. They have the best financing offers I found in the DFW area.

I don't usually do post but I will for Compass.July 2019, Drew from Compass Air came out with his team and replaced my 5 ton unit that was 16 years old and leaking refrigerant. The leak on the old unit had gotten worse this summer. The old original install was also leaking air from the ducts in the attic that Compass Air fixed during the new install and they enlarged the second return duct.They put in a Trane XV20i and we are cooling again better than the original. The original unit was not installed very well when the house was built. All that was corrected by Drew and his team.Compass Air came back a few days later to make sure all was good since I asked them to.. Few days later had a minor issue on the thermostat wire which had a razor cut on it exposing the copper wire outside causing a fault after water hit it. Not sure when that happened but possibly it was there from the original install, I really don't know, and then went unnoticed during the new install maybe. It was a small slice so easy to go unnoticed. Drew had someone come over and fix it right away with no charge within a couple hours of calling him.Hopefully this new efficient unit will save some money on the electric bill. Will find out soon. It sure runs silently. Can barely hear it running both inside and outside. Will post addition to this when the electric bill rolls in. 🙂I recommend calling Drew for sales and service. He responds quick, the work is done well and the price for the install was a fair price.

I called today spoke with Mike.. Wanted rough estimate on diagnosing issue with my central unit. This man was very disrespectful. Never asked my name, made me feel like an incompetent woman. Well I might be a woman but I'm very well educated. Never will i use this company. Best intelligent decision I have made all day!!!!!

My AC unit had been slowly losing cooling power over the last year or so. When I received a flyer in the mail from Compass encouraging me to "experience the difference," I decided to have them come out for a maintenance service. They confirmed the freon was 2 lbs low, and filled it up, but then said they couldn't find evidence of a leak. I paid for the service and freon @ $90/lb and moved on. Or so I thought...Less than 2 weeks later, the AC unit lost all cooling power. I called Compass, they sent a guy over pretty quick which was nice. He did his thing, then came back to report to me that the freon was completely gone (6 lbs). Then he said he FILLED IT BACK UP. Six... pounds... put back into a fast-leaking unit. He didn't ask me, he just did it. He knowingly flushed away $540 worth of freon. Are you kidding me?Then he said he still couldn't find any evidence of a leak. No really, are you kidding me?Later that same day, the air quality sensors in my house spiked through the roof. I'm pretty sure all 6 lbs leaked out in about 8 hours. Freon is not good stuff you want to breathe. I sent my wife and child away, and I opened windows and turned on fans to get the freon out of my house. I was not happy about this.Oh and the tech said he would have someone call me on Monday to come out and talk about replacements. This was two weeks ago. Nobody ever called. I wasn't really surprised at this point. I guess they wanted to forget about me as much as I wanted to forget about them.So I found someone else to come and fix it. Sorry.

Very Disappointed. We had excellent experiences with Compass in the past, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. They replaced both of our units within the last 7 years. So when our upstairs unit stopped cooling, I didn't think twice to call them. We had no problem with the service technician who diagnosed the problem as the condenser leaking and needing to be replaced. It was still under warranty and he estimated ~$600 for labor and refrigerant. Also, the part would be in on Tuesday the following week. After not hearing from Compass on Tuesday, I called and was told the part would be at least another week and that the job would cost ~$1600. I explained what we had been told by the service tech and that we were repeat customers, but with no effect. Bottom line, I shopped around, found a more competitive price, and used a different company that was able to pick up the condenser from a local warehouse in one day (under warranty). Not surprisingly, Compass never called us back to tell us the condenser was in and schedule an appt. Unfortunately, it appears that Compass was not really interested in this "small job" and was trying to gouge us on price and fit the job in when it suited them, using the part availability as an excuse ...meanwhile leaving us in the heat! I'm not sure what happened with this once reputable company. If you still plan to use them, do yourself a favor and shop around!!

It's been 2 weeks since our install of a new Trane 18 seer variable speed heat pump. I waited to write my review so I could have some time to learn the system and see how it works. Drew came out a few times over the past year and helped "band aid" the 11 year old Lennox system to get us a little farther down the road. He was very professional and you could tell he was truthful in his advice and repairs. That paid off when our system finally said goodbye to us and we needed a new one. I called Drew and he set us up with this new Trane system that we couldn't be happier with. It is far beyond what we had and I can tell by monitoring the run times (on my cell) and setting the temps (on my cell) that we were going to save on our electric bill. The installers were very professional, courteous and were in and out in the time frame I was told. They also left no sign of being here. I would highly recommend Compass Air and have already referred friends to them. I will be a customer for life.

This is the second time I've used Compass Air Services for installing HVAC systems. My first house they installed 2 Trane XV18 systems with some hesitation whether it was worth it to spend the extra money on the variable speed compressor. After a year it was definitely worth it and would not go back to the single or two stage compressor. I bought a new house that needed three new systems and I shopped around quite a bit and kept coming back to Compass because they offered the best deal and kept the pricing very reasonable. Drew was my P.O.C. and wouldn't deal with anybody else because he was always honest and straightforward. He didn't try to sell me the top dollar system and provided me all the pros and cons of each. He was always very responsive to my texts, emails or phone calls answered all my questions. I consider my self well versed in HVAC's everything they told on my first house was spot on and was another reason for going with Drew and Compass. Mike Pryor the owner of the company was very attentive to my questions and needs. Drew and Mike both showed up on the day of the install with a crew of 10 guys and replaced all three units along with replacing the ductwork and move some returns all in one day. The whole crew was polite and courteous and cleaned as they went and covered the floors with tarps to prevent stains and dirt. No question that I would use these guys again and will continue to use them for all the maintenance and upkeep.

I had Compass Air come out to do a "tune up" on my home and a rental unit. Jeremy called to tell me he was on his way and he arrived right on time. He was thorough and explained things and was very polite and informative. I had a few questions and he answered them to my complete satisfaction. I will be using Compass Air for my future HVAC needs. Shout out again to Jeremy.

Jerry with Compass Air installed a new system in my house this weekend and they did an amazing job! I am very pleased with their service. Jerry my (sales Associate), went above and beyond to explain the installation and financial aspects! I received 3 other quotes from other different AC companies and Compass Air gave me the best price. Compass Air has the best prices and excellent customer service!

Compass Air installed my system in April 2017. I was very happy with every facet of the installation. This past weekend, I had an issue with my unit. I called at 8:00pm on a Saturday and Shane called back within 30-45 minutes. We determined that my problem was not critical, and he scheduled me for Monday morning between 10:30-11:30am. Jeremy showed up at 10:20 and took care of my issue very quickly and explained the cause and ways to deal with it. I chose Compass Air for my installation because they had great reviews and were able to get to me quickly when my A/C was out, but after needing service and seeing how they took care of me, I know I made a good choice.

Our sales rep, Jeremy, was very helpful and quick to answer/return my calls and concerns. He was patient to explain all of the details concerning the equipment, efficiency, and payment options. Our installation also went very smoothly, George was very helpful to answer my any of my mom's questions the day of. And the crew arrived on time and got right to work and finished in a timely manner. The installation at my home went great & so my mom also decided to do business with Compass. We had a great experience with them and highly recommend their services!
